A complex space organized as a “Mediterranean village” around three squares: the Piazza dell’Acqua, with its wavy roof; the Food Court, like a village of colorful houses; the Piazza della Moda, reminiscent of Arab traditions.
The galleries represent the connective tissue, a fully urban architectural sequence shot. Forum Palermo expresses the richness, history, and atmospheres of the city and its territory through the sensitive use of colors, shapes, local materials, and natural light. A complexity also expressed in the communication codes, with signage enriched by the figuration of the artist Maurilio Catalano.
The spaces are bright and stylistically curated to create a relaxing and pleasant environment. The materials used aim to reproduce the variety of atmospheres that the city of Palermo can offer: stone, marble, metal frames, and glass are used to give each side of the building its own identity and express the playful nature of the project. The quality of the scheme is enriched by the presence of recreational activities and services for people.
A large retail & leisure center conceived as a real piece of the city. A mixed project, rich in meaning, that integrates the new and the restoration of ancient pre-existing buildings.
